The margaritas are very good (and we are picky!)- we like to go for weekend afternoon drinks! All of the food we have tried is delicious- especially the street corn, Gringa taco and ATX taco...soooooo good! :)
El Mercado is a cute, little spot with a fun atmosphere! The service is always great, but we highly recommend Jodi as a server! She is so bubbly and fun! We cannot say enough good things about El Mercado! Cute spot, delicious food/drinks and great service....and then you learn that they offered free meals to the workers (and their families) who were furloughed during the government shutdown and struggling without paychecks!!! A local restaurant who takes care of their community when times get hard! Now THAT is integrity and we are so inspired by, grateful for and impressed with their generous owners and staff! If you didn't love El Mercado before- the knowledge of their kindness will certainly make you want to give them your business! -
