Boulder County Fairgrounds Campground

We forgot to make reservations before coming to Denver/Boulder and were thankful to find this place on a whim in the evening! There is a kiosk at the front office that takes license plate information and allows you to pay right then and there. There are beautiful flowers near the dump station. RV spots are pull through and have electrical hook ups / dumps included in the price. Highly recommend!

The location is excellent! Great walking trails and major stores within walking distance. If you plan to stay for several days, it's best to arrive mid-week to secure a spot and be sure to empty your tank before you get settled. There's a dump station but no campsite sewer hookups. The manager Derek does a fantastic job keeping the place orderly. The “feed the meter” no-reservation, cash-only system takes a minute to understand but it’s fair and works well for the spontaneous travelers.

Excellent place for an overnight or even a week in town. Rates are very fair, place is well maintained by the local host, if not the county. Major shout out to Derek that runs the place so professionally. He even has his cell number posted at the office. Rock star. It’s a giant dirt lot with neighbors a couple of feet away, but always great people looking for the same privacy you are and so never feels really crowded. Nice bathrooms and showers (included!) are always super clean. Dumpster for trash and the RV dump site is free if you’re staying there. Only $10 if not!! Easy access from highway and the front range. If there were two of these in the area, this would still be the best.
