  I took a few birthing classes and this was my favorite, highly recommended. The class was excellent for lots reasons:
  No stigmatization of any lifestyle or method: pain meds/no pain meds, hospital/birth center/home birth, vaginal/caesarean, vegan/carnivore.
  Emphasis on mama recovery the first 40 days after birth.
  Opportunity to try different baby wearing methods like carriers and how to use wraps.
  Teaching the birth partner pain mitigation techniques like hip squeezes.
  Brings in a lactation consultant.
  She does have slides but you don’t feel like you need to take notes, she stops and answers all questions throughout the class.
  
  Afterward we decided to hire Amy as our doula and we are so happy we did. She was a coach, advocate and true friend during birth and post-partum (even better, she cooks and does body work as part of her post-partum care). Amy also referred me to Kala Spangler through the collective and now she's my go-to masseuse.

  We have been so happy with the services provided by the Sage Collective. Amy was our birth Doula. She came to our home 3 times before our daughter was born to help us prepare and get to know us. She helped us feel safe and confident before and during labor and visited us postpartum as well. We are especially grateful for her support during labor— she helped me manage pain, remain calm, and receive the best care ( including advocating for me when labor was progressing more rapidly than the attending nurse realized). We highly recommend Amy as a Doula. We have also had a wonderful experience being part of a Sage Mama’s group. It is such a caring community and we have benefitted from the the expertise of the Sage practitioners ( postpartum wellness, childhood development, even baby massage).

  Our family had a wonderful experience with Amy and all the professionals associated with Sage Birth and Wellness. As our postpartum doula, Amy helped my family stay nourished--both physically and emotionally--in the weeks after we brought our son home. Her recipes, her stories, her bodywork are all delicious...I would recommend her practice to anyone looking for support as they welcome a new baby into their life.

  I was fortunate enough to take Amy's Childbirth Education class and couldn't have felt more prepared...nothing truly prepares you for childbirth but Amy's handy go-to booklet paired with her thorough in person classes had me feeling confidant and calm. The Sage Birth Collective is truly a gift to the greater Denver/Boulder/Longmont area. Thank you thank you thank you for all you do!

  I"ve been seeing Amy Meilen for pelvic physical therapy following the birth of my second child. I had a 4-finger separation (diastisis reci) and was a bit forlorn about ever healing from it. But Amy has been incredible. First of all, she's so gentle, warm and intuitive. For such an intimate treatment she has made me feel comfortable from the first moment I walked in the door. If I could give her 10 stars I would. I've had pelvic PT elsewhere (at a very highly recommended spot elsewhere in the Front Range) and Amy, by far, exceeds my experience there. I still have healing left to do, but I"m grateful for the work and caring treatment I've received thus far.
