Forsythe Canyon Trailhead

Nice hike for beginners, easy going down and requires a little more work going up. No waterfall after july though, the runoff from the snow dies out.

Beautiful canyon. Lots of shade. Waterfalls in the early spring, wildflowers all spring and most of summer....but I rated it 4 of 5 stars because of irresponsible dog owners. Dogs off the leash and plastic bags full of dog poop. Ridiculous. The dog poop would be gone in days but those plastic bags will there for decades. Decades!

We went to Forsythe Canyon for mother's day. This was such an incredible hike! The trailhead has parking (with some reserved for horse trailers), a map, and vault toilets.The trail is well maintained without distracting too much from the beautiful surroundings. The wild flowers were various and abundant at the time and the creek was enchanting. Also, the hike is interesting and fairly easy for kids! We saw wildlife that really kept the kids excited.
