Gross Reservoir Boat Launch

It was icy and snowy, but nice to be back home. The workers have taken good care of it. Dad would be proud.

I love Gross Res for kayaking. It truly is a beautiful reservoir and a ton of fun.

An amazing place to visit if you're looking for a nice day out on the water. Many people fish for trout that are artificially placed here. The reservoir isn't giant, but you can easily spend a few hours kayaking around each area. There are some amazing campsites that can he reached via trail or kayak in this area as well, and I plan on exploring those soon (the spots look incredible). Definitely a Boulder local favorite, so it can get pretty busy on weekends.

Kayaking was awesome. You can send the whole day here. Less than 90 minutes from Denver. Great way to beat the summer heat and enjoy a beautiful Colorado mountain lake. Unfortunately, no swimming allowed.

Beautiful place spent eight hours there and didn't see even half the place. Would love to go back camp for a few days, maybe see the whole place. Would recommend as a must see in Colorado. Glassy water no current but might get some random storm. They only last 20-30 minutes then back out onto the water. So calm quiet and relaxing place must see. No fireworks or fires allowed. Camping is allowed on the north side for free up to two weeks. It's definitely an Alpine lake. Dress in layers to peel em off and put back on. Bring picnic stuff and all. Grills Park benches and table trails available everywhere. Never get the same views anywhere. It's always changing.
