“It's been a couple of years now but feel it's still important to share this. My beloved Springer Spaniel (Camry) unexpectedly passed away. I had her cremated there and within a couple of days was notified that she was ready to be picked up. Her remains were in a nice oak box with a name plate with her name & dob & did engraved on it, there also was a bookmark with her name, a poem & small swatch of her hair. As you would expect I was upset when I took her there, i was treated compassionately and professionally. I couldn't have ask for more during this difficult time. What prompted me to write this now is a dear friend of mine is facing the same thing & I strongly recommend Shirley Stout to them. “Beautiful landmark, only accessible on foot from either Rollinsville or Winter Park sides (road is thoroughly barricaded, enough to probably stop a battle tank from cruising through), but it's an easy walk from where the vehicle part of the road ends. Can peak over the barricades inside (don't go in!), and climb up the trail on to the top for beautiful views. A great spot to check out in summer. Note that Rollins Pass road can be blocked with a meter or more of snow until July, and may not be accessible for the majority of the year aside from August-September.”

“My Mom started in the Balfour family in Independent Living at The Lodge in Louisville. She loved it there. Then came the time when she needed more help, and Richard, the Director of Lavender Farms, welcomed us, and gave my Mom the support and encouragement she needed. All her needs are met at Lavender Farms, with loving care. It took a while for her to adjust, but all the while, Eva would come to see her in her apartment to let her know all the activities that were happening for the day, and encourage her to join in, and Dainzu gave her lots of attention and care. If I have a concern about my Mom, I can reach out to Richard or Dainzu, and I get a response almost immediately. I am at ease knowing my Mom is being taken care of so well. The facility is gorgeous, tons of activities for the residents to participate in, and a chef will wonderful meals. I feel very lucky to have my Mom at Lavender Farms.”

“The hike to Arapahoe peak is no joke. Elevation gained a 3000 ft and you feel it every single step. A good scramble to the top with tons of marmots running around sunning themselves. I'm pretty in shape and I was shocked that it took us a little over 6 hours for the out and back of 9 miles! That has been the most beautiful hike I've probably ever taken a Colorado in 12 years.”

“This is a spectacularly beautiful lake. The hike is 2 miles up (and up and up!) from Finch Lake, but if you have the energy it's definitely worth your time to visit. I didn't visit the campsite but I could (barely) see it from the lake and it's fairly well protected from the wind by some moderately-sized pine trees.”

It's changed its name from Utica Street Market and I can't quite remember what the new name is but I do know the owners since they were children and I'm sure they're doing a great job.
