“This is a really convenient and large parking lot. We I tended to hike Blue Lake and we're going to g to park at that trailhead. It was an exceptionally busy summer day, so they were actually turning people back from the main entrance. This lot has restrooms and a TON of parking, and it's free!”

“What a wonderful place to Cross country Ski and Snowshoe. Well marked with blue marker and gentle grade. The parking was ample during the week. Public restrooms are at the parking lot. The road to Brainard Lake was blocked so you could either ski the trail of stay on the road....”

“Don’t know how I have lived near this place for three years and never tried it. This place is great! Best Friday night skating experiences ever. Couldn’t ask for a better and more beautiful setting. All of the people who work and volunteer here are great! My only complaint is the parents who use it for a babysitter. Many young kids seem to be dropped off and unsupervised. Kids that can obviously skate well use the metal helper bars to skate fast, out of control and in wrong direction sometimes causing safety hazards. Sad the season is over. Will be back next year!”

“This coffee shop is lovely. The staff are nice, down to earth people who are easy to have a conversation with. The drinks are fantastic and they can get pretty artsy with the foam on the lattes. I had a pastry of some sort, but cant remember what it was... but it was a chocolaty coconut dessert of some sort and it was absolutely phenomenal. I would highly recommend this coffee shop in the heart of this beautiful little mountain town to anyone passing through or visiting. It is a hot spot in town though, so it can be a bit crowded.”

“Loved this trail in December. Good snow pack, but easy to hike on, especially with shoe spikes. Would be great for snowshoeing with fresh powder on it. Good incline, enough to get some exercise, but not going to exhaust you. Beautiful mountain views as well as serene, dense forest segments of the trail. Plenty of parking and restrooms there.”
