“One of my favorite short "hikes" in Boulder County. Have been coming here for ages. Some things to know. On most of the trails there is very little tree coverage meaning in the dead of Summer it can be a VERY hot walk. Keep this in mind if you're bringing your four legged buddies. There is a small covered area with a grill that I believe may be first come first serve but don't quote me. There are restrooms as well as a pretty decent amount of parking either in the lot or on the road. Plenty of wild flowers in the spring and early summer as well as an abundance of song birds and several birds of prey including a Bald Eagle from time to time. Deer are very common as well as foxes and coyotes but they typically keep to themselves during the parks open hours. If one ever approaches you you should probably keep clear as this is uncommon behavior and the animal could be sick. Has never happened to me here but it is a possibility. Just a PSA - Keep your pups on leash because BC Rangers AND Boulder County Sherrifs patrol the area heavily and may issue citations and as always...putting your dogs waste into a bag doesn't count as picking it up. You have to actually make it into the waste bin for that to be the case. Be a Dear and do everyone a favor and pick up after Fido won't you? Otherwise, everyone seems to be quite friendly when you pass them either on foot, on bike, or even on horseback. Don't forget the sunscreen ;)”

“I lease a horse that is boarded at Eden’s Aspens and I have been taking regular lessons with Autumn, the owner and trainer, for a year now. I honestly could not dream up a better boarding facility or a better horse trainer. The ranch is my happy place and I know it is for others as well. The horses are cared for by Autumn and her staff as if each of the horses are their own. As far as lessons and training are concerned, Autumn is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and patient. If you’re looking for an honest trainer that will help you grow personally and in your horsemanship, she’s the trainer you’re looking for. Autumn truly is a gift to both horses and their humans as she fosters the creation of safe and loving bonds between the two. “Dining at the Gold Hill is a great old Boulder tradition. The Gold Hill is an all around great experience- food, atmosphere, people, the town. We love it so much we had our wedding reception here. We eat here regularly as well. The owners and staff are kind, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is uniquely historic and the town is authentica Western mining. The service is quick and responsive. The food is great, varied and filling. This is a place you will want to savor and linger in. I highly recommend spending an evening here!”

“We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at The Gold Hill Inn w/ 30 guests. I worked w/ Brian Finn 100% remotely via email as I live in Vermont. From the beginning, Brian made the entire booking and planning process a breeze. We wanted our guests to have the same experience we have had at the GHI and opted to just have our guests partake in the 6-course meal normally served. The kitchen accommodated dietary needs and allergies of our group beautifully. Guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the food and the atmosphere! We were fortunate to have our party there the same night a terrific band was playing so we ended our night with drinking and dancing. We also booked The Bluebird Lodge for our wedding party. The lodge was huge and worked great for our party of 16. (Accommodates 18) Every morning we were greeted by a delicious yet simple breakfast (included w/ stay) of homemade bread and/or baked goods as well as fresh fruit, homemade jams, and really good coffee and tea. All the comforts of home are provided. The rooms were the perfect size, beds comfortable, linens and towels were also provided. Our group made use of the back-porch area as well as the kitchen. There are large sitting/living rooms as well. The pricing for both the rehearsal dinner and the lodge was extremely reasonable! The staff was kind and reliable. I highly recommend The Bluebird Lodge and the Gold Hill Inn for any event or just a nice evening out.”
