camped here about 25 years ago with my wife. we were the only ones camping there that nite. nice little campground.
The campground was very nice and well kept. It was super busy, though. With only 8 spots you will be lucky to find one open. Camped Mon-Thurs and there was never a free spot for longer than 5 minutes. Good luck, if you get in, it's great.
Also a bathroom for the women and kids, also close to town if you need things overall beautiful clean and for the most part quiet
Perfect secluded spot up in the Mountains. There are only 10 spots, first come first served, picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets and a water spigot. Simple spot, but that's the type of camping I enjoy. The drive up is nice with the chance of seeing big horned sheep (we didn't see any unfortunately). Take the drive up to the summit for another amazing view or use the trails to go for a hike. Theres a creek that runs along the road which offers some nice pull off spots to get out for pictures. Camp caretaker said he spotted a moose the day before in a clearing up from the campsite, but we missed out on a sighting ourselves. Overall, I loved this spot and would definitely return for some simple, in some awesome nature camping!
27 reviews of Clear Lake Campground "I'm just ending a three day stay here. It's super cute in a vintage way. It reminds me of camping in my youth. Clear lake is not very dog friendly, there is only a good swimming beach at the state park which dogs are not allowed on.
