He took the time to figure out where I was in my banjo ability and to help me set goals on where I want to go. He is always available for questions and makes learning alot of fun. Look no further!! Chris is your guy!!

(February 12, 2020, 10:53 am)Chris is a great banjo instructor. I am a beginner banjo player and he was accommodating to my skills. He also provided me with skills to help practice and manage my practice time effictively. For example, practicing for shorter time periods as opposed to hacking at it for an hour or so. I found that to really work for me. As a guitar player, Chris also taught me things that translate to guitar as well. Very helpful!

The progress is amazing: I started as a beginner. Now I can pick along full-speed to loads of bluegrass songs and regularly attend local jam sessions. Playing the banjo gives me so much joy. He teaches all by ear, which made me nervous at first - I had never learned music that way before and was unsure of how good I'd be at learning in that way. He's really patient and teaches in a way that builds upon itself. I'm learning specific songs, but also developing my broader knowledge about the banjo and music at the same time. I think he'd be an excellent teacher for students of all levels.

My son had never played banjo before, but was so inspired by Chris' passion that banjo has become an important part of his life. Chris was not only an excellent instructor, but also a great person to work with. He made learning very easy and fun, he was very reliable, and was an amazing teacher. He sent many helpful practice videos and good music as well as having incredible in person lessons. We could not recommend Chris more highly to anyone wanting learn banjo.
