  My mom recently discharged about a week ago. The was there for close to 3 weeks. I must admit, in the beginning I was 100% on guard and skeptical due to other reviews and previous experiences. There were some kinks to work out at the beginning of my mothers stay but what made this a good experience was when there was a problem, it was addressed literally immediately. I worked with Case managers, nurse directors, coordinators to make sure my mother was taken care of. They all listened, heard me, and responded accordingly. My mom did not want to leave. What I've realized is people are people and they have good days and bad as we all do. If we communicate and are willing to work together, things will be just fine. I have been connected to more resources and help, follow through and follow up for my mom since her admission there. This was one tough situation that had a happy ending. I felt the need to post because so many write about the poor experiences. This one was a good one. Thanks to all the staff that took care of my mom. Dr Parma, Dr. Rauch, Stephanie, Joyce, Terry, Andrea, all PT and OT therapusts, room service, house keeping and anyone else I forgot We appreciate you!

  I did a lot of research online and a lot of tours to find a rehab center that would be a great fit for my mom who is on Medicare/Medicaid and needed wound care. I initially surpassed this place because it didn’t have much reviews or ratings because the facility is so new. This place was very nice; from talking to the liaison, Chris, to the tour that was given by Wendy. The Centre at Lowry is a beautiful facility; it is very light, very clean, and has a hotel feel to it so the patients won’t feel they are in a rehab/hospital. Each room has its own private bathroom and a window with a nice view. The rehab gym is amazing. It is very large with an area where the patients can learn to work around home again; learning to get in and out of bed, cooking, etc. I love how the doors lock after 8pm, for safety reasons. You can still visit loved ones 24/7, you just have to be buzzed in by the nurses station after hours. They also offer dialysis transportation for patients! With all that said, the downside of The Centre at Lowry; the food wasn’t very good and, although the staff was very friendly, there seemed to be some sort of discord amongst themselves. My mom was almost given the same medications sooner than scheduled a few times. Thank goodness my mom pays attention. Again, staff was very nice, but you can tell staff was unhappy with how things operated.

  My husband recently completed a 4-week stay at the Center. The nurses and CNAs were very helpful and caring. The therapy staff was outstanding.
