Black Shirt Brewing Co and Craft Pizza Kitchen

I grew up in the NYC area and generally hate the pizza in Denver. This is one of the only places I would say is actually high quality. Highly recommend the pizza and they also make great beer and have a super friendly staff.

My first time in Denver. Was looking for some good food and beer after working all day. Found both here and stayed for the good music. I was a big fan of the old school alt/pop punk or whatever it’s called. Brought me back to high school days. Pizza was great!

I'm not a beer person but my husband says the two beers he tried were great. Atmosphere is awesome, great music and art and you're essentially in the room they make the beer in. Pretty cool. Pizza and cobbler were insanely good, I will order again someday when in Denver. But the wings were disappointing, could only eat one. Service was a little slow but they appeared busy with only two people in FOH so no sweat there, they were friendly too.

First time there and definitely won't be the last time. We were looking for a great pizza spot and happened to find exactly what we were looking for. Great selection of craft beers and the pizza was extraordinary. They use some of the grains from there beer crafting process and then use them in the pizza dough mix. The Califlower was also very good. All in all a great night! They will be celebrating 10 years in business this September.

So happy we found this place! I wish I could remember the bartender/server’s name, but she was very welcoming and embodied the ‘vibe’ of the restaurant. The pizza was unreal. I mean seriously, the idea of ‘perfect pizza’ in your head, it would be a picture of the pizza they’re serving. Perfectly thin and perfectly crispy and chewy with incredible flavor. Definitely will be back 🤘🏼
