  My husband and I rented an apartment from Deerwoods for over a year after they bought the building we lived in from its previous property manager. The improvement in service from our first property manager to Deerwoods was truly outstanding. Deerwoods is responsive, prompt, and quick to send someone out for repairs. They are communicative about changes in policies and procedures and fair in their operations. They even worked with us to give us a penalty-free early exit from our lease after we bought our first home and needed to move. We were very pleased with our time living with them and highly recommend their properties to others.

  I have been renting an apartment from Deerwoods for almost 3yrs and I have got to say that Geoff and the management is awesome. As a result of Covid19 things have been hard but the Deerwoods team has been very helpful and have been accommodating us. They check in to see if things are going good and if there is anything they are able to help with they do their best to help so THANK YOU DEERWOODS. Thank you management, staff and maintenance for all your hard work during these difficult times.

  So we just applied for a place in Lakewood today. Apartment is clean, new floors and new appliances. The leasing agent, Mariah, was very nice and answered all questions promptly. She was at the property on time at noon. Will update my review based on the outcome of our application. The neighborhood looked safe for the place, and it even comes with a storage unit and it's a two bedroom for $1400.

  Geoff Chatham has been managing a home for me in Wash Park for 8 years and has done a tremendous job. The unit has been fully leased for all but one week during those eight years and Geoff has handled every situation with the ultimate professionalism. Maintenance requests are quickly and efficiently handled, a fairly involved water damage situation was taken care of to the satisfaction of all and Geoff even arranged for the install of a French Drain to avoid having a repeat occurrence. Geoff has taken care of my property like it was his own and has provided peace of mind and a nice return on the asset that I have entrusted to him. I can't recommend Geoff highly enough.

  I've lived nine months in Deerwoods-managed Olive St. property. Invariably new tenants have a few maintenance needs, and I'm fussy! Deerwoods is great! They have a well-organized email system for reporting problems. And their work staff is excellent--Larry does fine work and is always prompt, sometimes the same day reported (if important).
  BEWARE, the low ratings are malicious fakes, no question. For what purpose, I have no idea.

  I’m still surprised by Deerwoods’ great service here on Olive St. Older building, and problems do come up from time-to-time. Without fail, Sam & crew Tom & Juan do great job. Decades of experience. Tom’s great with in-unit washing machine. Juan replaced furnace ignitor within 1 hour of my report. Can’t ask for any better! Again, I’m perplexed by the negative reviews; it’s like from different planet. I don’t take seriously people who never actually lived here.
