(March 26, 2019, 5:47 pm)Beautiful open space park near Castle Rock. I love the views. The trails could be more well developed and more trails could easily criss cross this area.
(March 11, 2019, 4:20 pm)Beautiful place to hike but the chuck’s loop trail needs more clear signage! It’s VERY easy to get off the trail. Husband and I were out with our two young children and barely made it out before it was fully dark. I was in a panic. Please make more signage.
(January 7, 2019, 7:56 pm)We loved it. Our 5 and 7 year old kids absolutely loved the 1.8 mile Chuck’s loop. We highly recommend it. Great scenery and lots of great opportunities for pictures. The kids really enjoyed themselves. We will definitely come back.
(September 16, 2018, 8:20 pm)A very simple hike that goes in a loose circle. Great for children. We have seen rattle snakes but they really do want left alone.

Chuck and Jan Hewitt, the former landowners, bought the 202-acre property in 1970 with hopes of building a retirement home on the property.
