I went to see Dr. Broomer for a "mole" that concerned me. The "mole" I was worried about was fine, but she found a "black dot" on my right arm that concerned her. Dr. Broomer took a biopsy and it came back concerning, so I had to have surgery to remove a larger section. I was scared to death! Dr. Broomer and her staff were wonderful. I told her that when I get nervous, I like to talk a lot to keep my mind off of things. She talked to me during the entire procedure, and I didn't feel a thing!!!!!
Fast forward to now. I saw a "black dot" on my teen-aged son. I panicked and made an appointment for him. Dr. Broomer was concerned about his spot and took a biopsy. His came back concerning as well, but luckily his was removed with the biopsy alone.
I am so grateful to Dr. Broomer and her staff! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a compassionate and thorough doctor who spends quality time with her patients, and explains terms/procedures in a way that a patient can understand!
Dr. Broomer and her staff were very friendly, caring and attentive to me. The nurse and the doctor were excellent at explaining everything, and then provided follow up instructions. They took time to ask me if I had questions more than once. That is often not something many doctors do. I have also found Dr. Broomer to be very personable. I am really glad I ignored the one bad review! The lady at the front desk is super nice as well. I'm going back and I'll recommend this office to my friends and family.
After being diagnosed by another Dr. with a simple spot on my face he froze the spot and said I would be good to go. A few months later that spot began to move and my wife encouraged me to go see another Dermatologist, I saw Dr. Broomer. I told her that the other Dermatologist said the spot on my face was of no concern. Dr. Broomer did not like what she saw and decided to take a biopsy . A few days later I was called into her office. With warmth and kindness she told me I had melanoma and that it would need to be removed asap. I am now 4 years clear after a large portion of my cheek was removed. The repair turned out to be perfect and almost undetectable. She basically saved my life and for that I will always be grateful to Dr. Broomer.
I had only read one great description, but I do want YOU to see this!!!!! I had an appointment today and it was one of those days where the clock seemed to be so far ahead of what I was doing. However, the staff was warm and open AND understanding. I was able to see Dr. Broomer. She was exact and very clear (and I even understood most even with my TBI). What a sweet woman. So understanding. The procedure was over and I was out of there within 30 -45 minutes - NOT feeling rushed or in a line of numbered patients. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Broomer as a Dermatologist. One thing - she said the removal would be painful - NOT SO - LOL- very quick and easy. Thank you so much Dr. Broomer and your wonderful staff - HIGH MARKS from Dr. P. S.R.
