Chaucy was born and raised in the St. Louis area. She received a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1989. After moving to Denver, Colorado in May of 1989, she established a small studio and never looked back. Her current studio, Pottery by Chaucy, was started in 1993 in Parker, Colorado.
