Best spray park in Raleigh. Family friendly park and play area is large comfortable handicapped accessible. Brightly lit and far back from the road with a bonus of fenced in and rubber floor.
We went here to run the track. It has been redone to a rubberized track. It has 4-5 lanes for 100m. Then turns into a 2 lane for the rest. Has a slight incline on turn 2, but not bad. It is just shy of a 1/4 mile track. Not back for a daily run or sprints.
This playground is amazing! A much needed "big kid" area to climb. The splash pad is really fun and seems to be kept clean. The chairs are all chained to the table, making the limited shade hard to sit under. Some shade shelters would be better.
The refurbish job completed May 2021 for an early June reopening was done really well. They needs offer after school programs, an onsite gym you can join, nice playground, splash area for when it's hot outside, and various spaces of varying sizes to rent for different activities. Programs for adults are coming up as well.
I love my local neighborhood park. As of August 2021, it's been recently renovated. It has a great outdoor track for runners/walkers, a community center, two picnic shelters, and connects to the local greenway system. I'm only docking a star because I wish they'd decided to rebuild the public pool rather than install an "interactive water feature." It's a bummer that Raleigh has so few public pools, for a city that gets so hot in the summer.
Best experience I've had with a PCP! Took his time, and genuinely cared about what was going on with me. FANTASTIC!
