  Beautiful church! Kind and helpful staff that manage everything very well, keeping up a well equipped facility especially children's ministry wing.

  Great church in Colorado Springs! We live on the Air Force Academy and love First Baptist Church of Black Forest. It is a vibrant and growing church and we especially appreciate the fantastic youth and children's ministries. More importantly, First Baptist Black Forest is engaged in the Colorado Springs community, making a difference through a variety of programs that minister directly to those in need. Finally, First Baptist sponsors an American Heritage Girls Troop and a Trail Life Troop, both of which are active, engaged, and fun!

  We moved from the south end of town to Peyton. We really wanted to find a church family close to our new home. We tried other churches which were great and preached the gospel, but nothing that made us feel like we were family. In the first week we came to First Baptist Church of Black Forest, it felt like family. And so from that point on we stayed! The pastors are amazing and the Lead pastor even came and visited us in our home after our first visit! Their children's ministry is great as well as their youth group. And my husband and I have loved the classes they have for us on Sunday mornings!

  I have been lucky enough to call this my church home for the past 6 years, and I love this body of believers. I've been a part of the Young Adult group for that past six years, and have found lifelong friends as well as been exposed to some seriously deep theology through the preaching of Matthew Morton. The Young Adult group is also active throughout the week, and does a mission trip every year, which has helped me form friendships and stay connected within the church.
  
  Additionally I have enjoyed the preaching of our senior pastor, Bob Bender, who engages the scripture line by line, and is not afraid to engage hard/difficult concepts on a Sunday morning, and he has shepherded this church well as the senior pastor in the time I have been here.
  
  I also have begun to volunteer with the youth (7th-12th graders) on Wednesday nights, and the church recently hired a new youth pastor, Paden Rogers. Paden has exceptional energy and a heart for students that I believe is contributing to growth and outreach within the youth group.
  
  If you are looking for a Baptist church that seeks to honor God, equips the body of believers, and teaches and preaches the Word of God, I highly recommend this one.
