Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant & Taqueria

Small business feel with a big chain atmosphere. Vaqueros is often mistaken for a chain restaurant when in fact has just two locations in Colorado and a third coming soon near Interquest Parkway.
We sat in the bar and were immediately greeted with chips and salsa. I ordered a steak burrito. The steak inside my burrito was excellent. I've never had steak taste that good in any burrito in my life. It's the real deal! My wife ordered a chicken salad, but was mistakenly served with a steak salad. Our server apologized and offered to expedite a chicken salad in exchange, my wife declined because it took some time to be served the first salad. She was satisfied with the steak. We did share a dessert which was very good as well.

Good food, good price. Large portion sizes. Seriously, I'm a 220lb male and I ate only half the meal. Large menu with some creative non-standard meals. Good vegetarian, seafood options. Friendly wait staff. Will be returning to try something different.

I used to be hooked on the Steamboat Burrito, but recently I've converted to the shredded chicken taco salad. Both are delicious! Not only is the food and margaritas THE BEST, but Alonzo is our "go to" server. He remembers us every time we visit and can usually guess what we want to order. That's customer service at its best! Thanks Alonzo!

Best burrito in town! My husband continues to try different plates and has loved every one, but I can’t go to Vaqueros without ordering the Steamboat Burrito. The ONLY reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’ve had better margaritas. Now that’s not to say I’m not going to order a margarita when I visit, but the margaritas aren’t my favorite. However, the burrito will keep me visiting more often than my waistline will appreciate.
