As a retired Army guy and having an ex-Navy submarine doctor as your Urologyist. Is totally different then having a non-military doctor. Nothing to take away from them. Somehow Ex military doctors have a better understanding...a special comradery with ex-military personnel. since I have started seeing him there is no sugar-coating things which I like about him. I have two of my favor doctors under Optum him and my primary care Dr. Harper. They both are Doctors; Doctors that make you the priority about your health and give you the best advice not just pilling you. I would like to give a shout out to his female staff Irma, and Diana not just them but to all of them at that medical center for being so courtesy and professional. Too bad one can't take your good doctors with you whenever you relocate elsewhere. Oh! well that's life.
I would highly recommend Dr. Atkinson as he was very personable and easy to talk with. He took the time to listen and answered all my questions. Staff was also very friendly.
For many years he has been my urologist and my level of satisfaction and trust with him could not be higher. He takes the time to review your test results and converse about them with you in a fashion that is clear and precise. I loved the fact that he would always pursue knowing what my concerns were and addressed them in a factual way seeking to put my mind at ease. He will be missed badly and I will always rate him with the very best
Dr. Atkinson is a extraordinary person in that he has an Engineering degree and worked in that field for a few years prior to going back to school to be a medical doctor. He accomplished that and went on to be a urologist for a renowned clinic. He is now studying to be a CPA. This guy is a wealth of knowledge to just speak with a few moments in the exam room at the clinic he is was employed. A very personable doctor who has taken care of me for several years.
I will miss Dr. Atkinson, as he moves on the mountains and other great adventures in his life, but wish him well in this new endeavor.
Again, I will miss you Doc

Dr. Atkinson removed a large bladder and kidney stones. He did an amazing job! He and his staff are very friendly and very easy to discuss things with.
Very professional. Always kind, friendly and personable. Always prepared and familiar with my file. Not only provides details of my condition but also medical life advice relative to maintaining or improving my health. I am totally comfortable with having him as my Urology Dr.
