  Why can’t they all be like North Powers Animal Hospital?? Sigh. They are ALWAYS amazing. Always accommodating. Helpful. Kind. Patient. And Dr. Welfare is highly recommended!!! My dogs honestly love him- my bigger Doodle does for sure. You won’t find a better vet in the Springs. Thank you!

  The staff was very knowledgeable and the veternarian spent more time with us sharing education and answering questions than our human primary care doctor. They also look to offer the best animal healthcare possible by promoting preventative care and running the most advanced diagnostics available.

  Dr. Welfare and his team are amazing! You can stop reading now, or read why I say this below. We went there to get a second opinion and glad we did. Our old vet recommended some drastic treatments that we questioned. Dr. Welfare asked why would we want to put our cat and ourselves through such pain. He puts the cat and owner first and always takes time (too much time according to his staff ?) to explain all of your options and with our cat he had a lot of explaining to do! Here is why:
  Our cat had irritable bowel syndrome long before we met Dr. Welfare. But then our previous vet diagnosed he had diabetes and probably cancer. He recommended we leave our cat with him for a week for the diabetes and then do the "chop" method for the cancer. That was going to be horrible for us and the cat. We decided it was better to let him pass on his own vs. doing the treatment. Then a friend recommended we see Dr. Welfare. That saved our cat's life. Dr. Welfare agreed that our cat had diabetes, but wanted us to keep the cat at home where he was comfortable with just a few visits to get the insulin dosage correct. Wow, that was so much easier on everyone. He did not recommend any treatment for the cancer since our cat may not have it. Years went by with our cat and us living a happy life. Then due to our cat's old age (16 years), his kidneys started to fail and then his liver. Typical of Dr. Welfare, he gave us great advice and kept everyone happy with the easiest treatment. When our cat did finally pass, Dr. Welfare and Mac were there again to help us through the process. We even received a condolence card from everyone at the NPAH. If you use Dr. Welfare and you have a serious issue, don't be surprised to get a call from him at night to check to see how things are going. We cannot recommend Dr. Welfare and everyone at the NPAH enough. Use them and you will be glad you did.
