Old Stage Riding Stables

Laurie with Old Stage Riding Stables is amazing. Totally hospitable. I didn’t disclose that we were traveling via motorcycle. Read that the road was rough and all dirt. Expected to be able to make the climb. Do not try what we tried!!!! Maybe a sport bike could make it, but this is not for harleys! Hated not being able to visit for our ride today, but my experience with Laurie the last couple of days ensures that we will be back to try again! In a 4 wheel vehicle!

Beautiful trails and picturesque views for great photos. A bit tricky to find, but well worth the effort; the 2 hour ride offers the best scenic views in my opinion.

Absolutely AMAZING, warm atmosphere and the guides were welcoming and cheerful. I had a great time there and got to see many cool things. The horse I rode on was Levi. Isn't he adorable?

Absolutely beautiful ride, and our guide was happy to share great facts about the areas history, flora and fauna along the way! (Taylor I think? I’m sorry I’m bad with names.)

The owners were also lovely people, the cantina was a great spot, and the hummingbirds buzzing around made it a magical little place to have a drink.

Laurie was incredibly generous to give me a horse jaw bone, and I will forever cherish this very blessed gift. If you see bones in the public photos, don’t worry, that’s just Dixie, keeping me company down here in Denver (:

Great experience! My daughter had only good things to say about her visit, the ride (2 hrs) and her wrangler, Blevins. Highly recommended! Thank you, Lori (owner)for a truly relaxing time! (and coffee 😁)
