Where can I begin? When my brother and I learned that my Dad was in his final days of life, we reached out to Angelus Chapel. We called to set up an appointment and was able to do so without any delay. We were greeted with the most friendliest, welcoming and calming personality ever…. Julissa! She was phenomenal in every sense of the word. She patiently walked us through all of the options that were available to us. Both my brother and I were unfamiliar with the process of cremation, but with Julissa, we had a very thorough understanding. She handled everything for us including the obituary, the preparation for the memorial service and the travel preparations as I was bringing our Dad’s ashes on the plane and needed everything to be TSA compliant. She even explained how to partner with a local funeral home to get my Dad’s ashes transferred from the TSA approved box to the urn once I landed back in Houston. When Dad passed away, we made one call and the team was there to pick up my Dad but did so with such grace and dignity. We were able to spend as much time with him as we needed to without any rush at all. And this was the day before Thanksgiving. I made several changes to the obituary via email not because of Julissa but due to my own mind changes and she captured every single one of them. The final outcome was perfect and the memorial service was beautiful. I highly recommend Angelus to anyone who has the unfortunate task of planning final arrangements for a loved one.
