(September 16, 2020, 9:37 am)6:00 at night, dog has diarrhea and is vomiting, panting, no fever, and no clue why she is sick. Regular vet office was closed but they recommended PPES. We called first, told them we were coming. Took her to the PPES, got an IV in her, gave us meds to give her, made sure we knew to set up another appointment with our vet. Gave us some good options for her care. Yes, we had to wait because there were others who were ahead of us with pets who were probably as sick or sicker. We do the same in a regular people hospital. They're being cautions due to COVID, wear a mask. You sit in your car, not in a waiting room due to COVID. They told us what would happen and how it would happen, brought the papers to the car, etc. They kept in touch with us via cell phone. For the care she received, the price was very reasonable. Great Staff and Vet, kept us well informed. Thanks to you all and yes, we have our follow-up vet appointment made for this Thursday.

(September 13, 2020, 11:27 am)We brought in our dog because she was not acting normal. This place did everything and anything to make sure she was well taken care of. The doctor and staff are extremely courteous and extremely professional. I definitely understood it can get pricey since it’s an emergency clinic and there’s only so much they can do since an animal can’t talk. But I am confident that they will do anything they can for the animal.
In the end, our dog seemed to have been stressed by an environmental change so they prescribed medication to help her relax. Overnight she seems a ton better. Thank you! -

(September 7, 2020, 12:03 am)The wait WAS long, but in all fairness, they are an ER, and triage their patients. That means the most serious are taken first, which is good. And they were jammed all day. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and responsive. The doc that my dog saw was awesome and answered all my questions. And it was reasonably priced for services rendered. Unless my pet is bleeding out, that is definitely where we will go should we have another emergency, despite living in Pueblo.

(August 23, 2020, 2:03 pm)Thank you Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty for taking care of my dog! We needed to be seen here urgently when my elderly Shih Tzu dog was suddenly displaying severe back pain. We didn't know why, and I thought it was something very serious like kidney problems. They got us in immediately and took such good care of our us. The cost was very fair as well. The dog was diagnosed with a back injury; probably from jumping off the bed or couch wrong. Poor guy! I didn't know dogs could throw their backs out just like people. We are so grateful for this place and their expertise.
...8/23/20: We had to be seen here again; early on a Sunday morning, this time for our Chihuahua. She was having an acute eye problem and was diagnosed with an infection. I was once again so impressed with this place. So much so that I wanted to leave another 5 star review but Google will only let me do one! So grateful to have an emergency pet hospital close by. They are amazing. -

(August 2, 2020, 1:21 pm)The wait was a little long, but that was to be expected with all the vets in the area being closed early or booked out for weeks. My little pup was well taken care of and they did everything they could to make sure he felt better and he did! He rejoined me as an even happier boy after his treatment and I’m so happy! The staffs were wonderful and super nice. It was also very professional too. I would definitely come back again if I have an emergency!
