This place is AMAZING!!!!!! From
the mountainesque decor, to the cozy fireplace, to the affordable places and amazing staff, this is the place to be!!! The menu reaches beyond typical bar food, and the food comes out amazing every time! Most little dive bars have less than impressive menus, but their cooks take such pride in the unique menu they even come to your table to check on how you like your meal! The drunk prices are unbeatable, and the service is unmatched! The locals play a few fun dice games at the bar and they were all to welcoming to have us join and play! You can really tell this bar is home to many, and it is ran with care and passion. I highly recommend this to all! Go take a beautiful mountain hike and then enjoy some delicious food and a beautiful lake view at the Moose!

The best bar I’ve been to with the term “hole in the wall,” but don’t be confused by that statement. It’s just simply to explain it’s not a franchised bar that located in every big city. This place is a gem. It is a local bar, so if anyone feels like they’re a tourist and being mistreated it’s solely on their personal insecurities. I felt right at home at this bar from the afternoon opening visit to last call in the evening. Each local was warm and welcoming, and that includes each bartender I came across. The bartenders were attentive and sweet. The prices were reasonable and never underpoured. If you want a low key small town vibe this is the place to go.

Julie is by far the best thing about this place. She works her butt off and never stops moving! The pizza is delicious and my newlywed husband and I wish we could take it home with us on the plane tomorrow but alas, it wouldn’t keep. The couch by the fire is the best seat in the house for sure.

Just make sure you’re prepared for the atmosphere, if you’re coming from out of town, you’ll have “tourist” written all over you and may not get the warmest vibes around you. But that’s more about the locals. Julie made us feel right at home!

I have ALWAYS had a great experience here! The small mountain town bar feeling provides an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable place to spend any afternoon or evening. I have seen the sunsets over the lake right outside from the patio and enjoyed live music all while eating incredible food. It is evident that the people who work here love what they do, and it makes for a really delightful experience. I HIGHLY recommend coming here! It's located in a small mountain town that is known for its beautiful hikes and scenery! If I could rate higher than a 5 I would!
