Sundance Canyon

Amazing view

Honestly, this should be a morning type hike. I didn't really see a bathroom or any other places to hang out. That being said, once you get past the 45 minutes straight up the initial road, the lakes are excellent. Get off the main road and explore the back trails because that's where the real sights are.

This is the first canyon to the north just after you reach the first reservoir . There is a well established trail after you climb up the hill a bit. Eventually a trail switches off to the east and climbs Sundance Mt.

Great hike but the snow and ice slowed the pace. Highly recommend

A great trail with fantastic views. You won't feel crowded here so bring a buddy for safety. Trails are obvious but not clearly marked. Getting on the wrong trail is easy to do. Any GPS based trail app will be helpful. Climbs can be steep in places but nothing too rough.
