Extremely pleased with American Family Insurance and especially the services of the team here in Colorado. I switched after being with USAA for over 25 years. USAA is great insurance I just feel they lost their way. Final straw was when I bought a new truck and USAA insurance costs were twice what just about every other insurance company would charge me. In days of old, I’d be able to talk representative and feel like a valued member. Not anymore — just a high volume call center with responses of well that’s what the computer says there is nothing I can do for you. So, last year I began looking at other insurance companies and ultimately ended up going with American Family. Partly based on a recommendation from a friend and finally due to the exceptional service Aaron Perea provided. It is great having a local agent that’s involved and cares. Of course, I was still not sure I’d made the right decision. You really don’t know if you’ve got good insurance until something goes wrong. Well it did. Our new Honda got nailed in a Colorado hail storm. ~$9K in damages. The claim process was exceptional. The Claims Agent, Saad Mouhieddine; their partner repair shop, Tri-Lakes Collision in Monument; and Enterprise Rentals did an exceptional job. The process was smooth and easy. There were multiple follow ups from Saad and Tri-Lakes Collision keeping us informed about the process. Our car looks brand new. Could not be more pleased. American Family saved me over $2K a year in premiums, reduced my deductibles, and is meeting all my expectations. It was a good decision to go with Aaron at American Family.
