Blue Sky Mountain Ranch

Our annual family trip destination this year was to the beautiful state of Colorado. We looked long and hard to find the perfect spot to fit our family and on paper this destination checked all of the boxes. However, upon arrival, we were shocked. The description of this location understated the beauty, tranquility, and comfort that we were about to experience. From the accomodations being a 5 star hotel rating in comfort, spaciousness and design, to the extra services offered that were fabulous, we had one of the most memorable vacations to date. We hiked, enjoyed the chef meals, participated in a scavenger hunt, relaxed in both hot tubs, grilled, took side trips to Nederland and Boulder, and only turned on the tv the very last evening of our six day stay to watch March Madness basketball. The hosts were very accomodating and easy to communicate with, and the views..... well, let's just say that we have spent many vacations on the beach, but have now discovered a new love for the mountains. Would we go back? We are already planning it! Cannot think of one thing I would change about the entire stay. We are so grateful to have had this wonderful opportunity and very thankful to the hosts.

Cannot express how wonderful and perfect Blue Sky Mountain Ranch! With a group of 11 people (with additional day guests), we not only have the best weekend at their home, but had the most memorable and incredible wedding on their property! Kevin and Jennifer were such amazing hosts - answering all of our questions, helping with logistics and providing great information.

The views of this home are unlike you’ve seen and it’s so close to Denver area. The house had so many amenities and pretty much had everything we needed for the weekend. Kevin also took our group on ATV tours which was one of the highlights of the weekend! So so fun!

Highly highly recommend this home for your next vacation or wedding!! We will definitely be back!

This was truly one of the best rental experiences I've ever had. Kevin is a fantastic host and the lodge is an amazing place to stay in Colorado. I highly recommend and will 100% book the lodge again given the opportunity!

The lodge is extremely well provisioned with cookware, towels, games, etc. We were able to easily cook meals for 10 people with the large kitchen (and the Green Egg!)

The lodge is situated at the top of a steep hill - we were able to easily get a transit van in and out. The property is stunning! Very private with incredible mountain and sunset views. Some really nice areas to hike/walk around the property.

Really roomy with four private bedrooms as well as a loft and downstairs nook all set up with beds. We had 10 people sleep comfortably in their own beds. Three full bathrooms as well so the place easily accommodates a larger group.

Ten minutes from Nederland which is a cool little Colorado town with a small grocery store and some retail/shopping/restaurants. Eldora is along the way so if you're staying in winter it's easy to get there from the lodge.

You are 30-40 minutes from Boulder depending on the road construction. We were able to get to Red Rocks in about 45-50 minutes as well. You are about 75-90 minutes from Denver airport with light traffic.

They have a lot of stuff to do on property: gun and archery ranges, available mountain bikes, volleyball court, TWO hot tubs, a bunch of indoor and outdoor games and then just the stunning nature all around. You could easily not leave the property for a long weekend.

My friends and I recently stayed a week at the Blue Sky Mountain Ranch in Blackhawk, Colorado. The house was a beautiful, 3 story home with amazing views. The owners, Kevin and Jennifer, were some of the nicest people we have ever met. Jennifer gave us a wonderful tour of the huge, completely furnished house while Kevin took us on a hike on the 120 acre property which was absolutely gorgeous. We were checked on daily to make sure we didn't run out of firewood because it was so cold during our stay. The house itself has 2 hot tubs, a home theater, comfortable beds, huge showers, warm flooring (yes, warm flooring), a huge BBQ pit, a kitchen with brand new appliances that made you want to cook and of course.. the views of the Rocky Mountains all through out the house. I can't wait to go back to visit again. We still talk to Kevin and Jennifer, that's how awesome of people they are! Go visit, you will not regret it!

This was our second visit to Blue Sky, first experience in the cabin. Kevin & Jen, our hosts, were absolutely wonderful. They were always available and very helpful with anything we needed. Our hosts took us on an ATV tour around the ranch for hiking and some breath taking views. We loved that there was always something to do and another beautiful sight to behold without even leaving the ranch. The cabin was exquisite! It was so spacious and cozy, we felt like we were right at home. The indoor hot tub was the best way to wind down and relax after a long day of being in the wilderness. Blue Sky was the most perfect romantic get away and we cannot wait to make our third trip back!!
