This was a good experience in general. I came here for lunch today, and there were both pros and cons. I entered through the front door and headed towards the cafeteria. I was talking with some buddies on the way in, but we were soon reprimanded. It turned out that this diner was not only a eating place, but also a training facility for their cooks. Every room except the dining room was filled to the brim with cooks-to-be. This was an interesting layout that made talking on the way in non-existent.
When I entered the cafeteria, I headed to the food line. The cafeteria only has three options each day, but they go through a rotation about once a month. I grabbed my choice and headed to a table where some friends sat. The food was poor, but that’s okay. There was a good amount of enjoyable food also that they were not serving that day. My favorite part was the band. The went by the name of “The Para Aides”, and performed all lunch long. The band included whistle blowing, special sections with the lights off, and sing alongs. Some of the sing-alongs included the following: “The Para Aides” would shout “Red Robin!” and the eaters would answer “Yum!” (although I did find it strange that they were advertising for a different dining place). Another one included a clapping section were “The Para Aides” would clap a certain rhythm, and the diners would answer with a different rhythm. And finally, “The Para Aides” would shout “One two three! Eyes on me!” and we would answer “One two! Eyes on you!”. Even though it seemed like we stated the obvious, they seemed very satisfied when everyone grew quiet as we watched them continue the song.
I definitely enjoyed the experience, but I still think it would be more convenient if they move their training center to a different building. All in all, I recommend you visiting this place. Very nice!
This is my family's ninth year at this school and it is amazing. A supportive community, teachers who deserve at least twice the salaries they get if not triple, and a kind calm principal. We love this school.
My son is a GT (gifted and talented) and thus far he has not had a single problem at this school. He has already made a whole lot of friends. This school treats everybody with respect, so I encourage you to enroll your child in Hackberry Hill Elementary School
