Alice Sweet Thomas Park

What a neat playground! The kids were entertained for a long time. There were no wild animals.

This park is very special to me. It's named for my mother Alice Thomas. My mother and father, Tom Thomas were both very active in civic issues and local politics Arvada for many years. The park is built on a 5 million gallon water tank and won the bicentennial award for architectural design in 1976.

This is the best place in Arvada to watch sunrise. 1. the mountains are lighted up in bright orange. 2. You will see your own shadow projected on the Church's roof.
