The Oberon House is a special place. Owners Gregg Dirks and Terri Tochihara-Dirks interact daily with
the residents and staff, which sets the tone for a facility where people are authentic, affectionate, and genuinely caring.
My 83-year-old mom is significantly disabled from a stroke. At The Oberon, I rest easy knowing that despite her challenges advocating for herself, I can count on the staff at all levels to address her needs and concerns immediately.
It is rare to see the compassion and kindness I witness there. Front-desk staff, CNAs, QMAPs, dining room staff, the resident services director, the executive director, the facilities crew, housekeeping, and the on-site hair stylist all treat residents in a manner that says, “I see you, and I care about you.”
Yesterday I attended an outdoor concert/picnic for residents. Staff stayed overtime or left to pick up
their grandchildren only to return to participate in what felt akin to a family reunion.
At The Oberon House there is no passing the buck or obfuscation. Family members are informed of
what’s happening on a regular basis and treated with the same respect afforded the residents. If you
want a true “Place for Mom (or Dad)” that feels like home, come and see what Gregg and Terri have to
offer.
We are so happy with the staff and owners of the Oberon House after placing my mother-in-law there. She is happy and stimulated. It is such a relief to know that she is receiving the best care and thriving. They kept everyone safe during COVID with their pro active actions and we appreciate their dedication.
My mother recently passed away but the last three years of her life was spent at the Oberon House. She loved living there! Everyone of her helpers from the housekeeping staff to the aides, nurses, activity director, administrator Brenda and owner Gregg demonstrated such love and respect for her. We so appreciate the good, dedicated staff who even thru COVID made mom happy. I highly recommend The Oberon! It’s big enough to have good amenitites and small enough that every resident gets lots of special attention.
My mother has lived at The Oberon House since 2013. We are so please with the attentive and friendly care of all the staff. We are so pleased with the conditions of the facilities and the cozy home feeling of Mom's private rooms and the common areas. We are pleased with the interactive planned activities organized and facilitated by a team. We are also pleased with the close friendships Mom has formed at the Oberon House. Beyond the in-house activities, Mom leaves for her private activities with ease. We visit Mom often and are always welcomed warmly, and can tell that our mother is well loved and respected by all at this small, privately own assisted living home. My appreciation is unending for the owner Greg and all of his professional, caring and accessible staff. With gratitude, and my personal recommendations, Carema Cook-Masaud
My mother lived at the Oberon for almost six years. We chose it because it had a "homey" feel. Because I am an RN, I know how labor intensive caring for the elderly can be. The staff cared for her the way I would care for an elder, and kept me informed about anything out of her ordinary day. I ate with Mom once a week and always enjoyed the meals. They had a variety of activities for different levels of participation. No assisted living facility can meet 100% of expectations 100% of the time, but I believe the Oberon staff did an excellent job trying.
