beautiful winter hike, not crowded, epic views
Fun and fairly easy hike with good views and scenery...nice quick outing!
Reynolds is an excellent park with some very fun trails. I hiked the Elkhorn and Eagle's View trail and really enjoyed. I recommend hiking that trail counter-clockwise. They also have bike trails and some camp sites available.
Great little campsite to give it a try it backpacking, it's about a half a mile from the trailhead to the campsite. I believe there's five campsites there there's buckets for freshwater and there is firewood available. Gorgeous views and you're nice and close to town really can't be beat
Great area for some hiking and a great place to camp for free, you just need to get a free permit with Jefferson County parks and open space before you go. There are several campsites and they will provide firewood and non potable water to put out your fire when you are done. The camp sites have nice tent pads, close restrooms, picnic benches and smaller benches for roasting yourself next to the fire. There are lots of trails in the park as well and the location is off the beaten path so crowds are usually not too much of an issue here.
