Sunshine House

  The staff at the sunshine house really do care about the children and both my kids never had issues with drop off or pickup. The staff are really diligent at keeping them clean, but always give us a heads up as they really love to do sensory play that can be even messier. The new system they have moved to is even better as I can know what my children ate, how many times they went to the bathroom, what activities they did, and also get pictures. The director Courtney is very understanding about you schedule and have been very accommodating to our family. The only downsides would be the age of the facility. They keep it clean, but can sometimes be hard to tell just based on the wear of some of the floors. Additionally, I feel that sometimes there could be better communication between the morning and afternoon teachers. With the new system there is less confusion, but sometimes I would not know any problems until much later because there was a lack of communication between the teachers. Overall, we enjoy having our children at Sunshine house as the staff make the experience the best for us and our children.

  I have been very pleased with the Sunshine House since my son began attending in September 2017. The infant room teachers are positive, helpful, and receptive to the needs of my son and myself. The employees are always attentive to the needs of the babies. The Sunshine House is also affordable for local daycare facilities. They follow procedures for safety and health very well. My son has only had two minor colds this season, one of which came from home.
  
  My experience at the Sunshine House continues to be positive with my son in the toddler room. I know he is well cared for by the teachers. They provide wonderful, age-appropriate, experienced based learning. My son adores his teachers and his classmates.

  My son has been going to the Sunshine House for the last year, and we're over the moon in regards to the growth he has made. The teachers support his social, emotional, and behavioral development with activities to foster a sense of community.
  
  The only reason I give four stars, instead of five, is because many children come to daycare sick. This causes sickness to spread and generally everyone in the classrooms will get sick. They are too lenient on their policy or the policy isn't enforced. This isn't entirely the fault of the daycare, but also the parents. The daycare does a great job of calling when kids have fevers, so I am not sure why the sick kids are still there... Parents, care to answer?

  We have been with The Sunshine House for over a year now, and we are very happy. Our daughter has learned so much.
  I have read a couple other reviews and I would have to say that I feel that it is unfortunate that those parents felt the way they do. I will say that sometimes the kids get sick at this time a year, but almost every daycare has the same issue. Also, I think that the school does make an effort to prevent the germs from spreading like wild fire. They post signs, and request that parents help their children wash their hands when they get to school. Also, it is the parents responsibility to not bring their kids to school when they are sick.

  My son was in the 2 year old room for a year. He was really fond of Ms. Terra and Ms. Heidi as was I. He didn’t always come home clean but it was usually due to activities in which they explored different textures and paint.
