  Had a nice easy walk by the shore - it doesn’t seem like you can walk around the whole lake so we just turned around and found another path. Saw some fishermen and boat docks too.

  We enjoyed renting Kayaks this summer to use on Standley Lake. They have a little docking area for boats as well. The only bummer is that you have to pay to enter the park on this side. So we paid for parking, and then paid to rent the kayaks. But we had a fun time out on the water.

  Camped here for two night was a great experience. The rangers were friendly and made their rounds to insure all was good. The have RV spaces available as well as ample tent camping. There is a bald eagle nesting ground to the north only viewable from the water. Would highly recommend this place for a quick getaway.

  Just stayed here for 8 days while visiting Colorado! Great campground with very friendly staff. Campground was nice and quiet at night and monitored by a security guard. Hookups or at least a dump station would be nice but they do have a spot to fill your water tank. The views and the lake is very beautiful. This was a nice central location so we could drive to the mountain towns.

9:00 p.m. at (303) 425-1097 so they can inform night security. If you have a guest who parks in the parking lot at 100th and Owens, those gates are closed and locked at sunset. Any cars in the lot at this time will be locked in until 7:30 a.m. the next morning.
