Pretty campground with decent facilities next to a cool little river. Certain campsites have a great view. Just wish their was showers, but I understand why that may not be possible. Could use some more community events in June.
Best place to camp at RMNP! Most sites have some shade, which was greatly appreciated with August temperatures hitting the high 80's. Bathrooms have flush toilets, hand soap and hand dryer. Drinking water was available. There was a utility sink for final rinsing of camp dishes. Firewood, ice and ice cream treats for sale during the summer on specific days and times. Every site has its own bear box. Please use and save a bear ????
Great hosts & friendly Rangers & enjoyed the evening shows. Nice to have the ice & firewood available each evening. Most sites with good shade; but each has really only one good tent pad. Facilities maintained very well & water was great.
It’s a fantastic campground! The only downfall there is no hiking trail within a walking distance. Everything else was truly great. A cozy place tucked away in the mountains, rushing river, bearproof lockers, flush toilets, a sink for washing dishes, ice, wood and ice cream for sale. We stayed at site 14, loop b. That was the most secluded and quiet spot. Fantastic views, quiet family friendly campground. A must visit!
Like others have said the rangers are nice. The sites are pretty close together so there isn't a lot of privacy. Loop C seemed to have more trees in some sites so it felt a little more secluded. But this is to be expected from a national park campground. Similar campsite spacing as Moraine Park Campground. The bathrooms are really nice; better than the visitor center bathrooms. And, all the campers were respectful even on memorial day weekend. I'd stay there again. Kids loved it.
