This is my go to hiking spot. I've lived in Colorado my whole life and every time I'm here hiking either by myself or with friends, its a new experience. Great place for that perfect Colorado photo!
The drive here is totally worth it. Came here on thanksgiving, everything was covered in snow and It couldn’t have looked prettier.
The trail was easy and good information about inclination and warnings as you go further in.
Got to walk on the frozen lake that was amazing.
A must place to visit in any season!
The most gorgeous trail In Estes Park/RMNP in my opinion. Best to get up early and get there at dawn or close to it to park. This way you get serene conditions where you can get pictures without all the people in it. I would totally do morning yoga up here too. So peaceful!!
Very nice environment. Best time to visit is June and July. We enjoyed lot. I was at this place as part of my Colorado trip with my family and friends family. You need to come early to this place for hiking. This place also had natural lakes. Good place to visit during your trip
This is a VERY popular place. It took us two days at 730 am to find a parking space. (It was Labor day weekend) but once we got on the trail, it was spectacular. The shuttle is also available. We hiked up to Emerald Lake and all the lakes were equally beautiful. This is uphill a lot of the way but definitely doable for families and reasonably fit people once they are used to altitude.
