Elkhorn Stables

Place looks pretty rundown when you first pull up. They have a multitude of horses and they will match you up with one based on your personality. I don't know how this works, I am not a horse whisperer.

I got matched with Jill and she was a sweetheart of a horse. Hardly needed any guiding at all. My wife got Daisy and she was a prima donna (what a perfect match!) and needed a lot of guidance and attention.

The guides were all very sweet and helpful. The scenery was breathtaking. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Also - Monkey was the best part of this place. Prove me wrong.

Loved my Advanced Ride Tour. Lady Lee, my horse, was so sweet and was easy to ride. Deb, my guide, was super helpful in giving me tips for mountain riding, showing me incredible views, and taking some epic photos of me and Lady. I can't wait to come back and ride again.

Great trail ride! 1 hr or 2 hr, beginning or advanced. Very friendly Wrangles and horses. Best rides in Estes Park. Very reasonable prices. Great views, bring your cameras! And don't forget to tip, it's well worth the $.

Our first time in Estes Park and had a wonderful experience at Elkhorn Stables. The staff was very knowledgeable and I like the fact that they rescue the horses. The grounds were very scenic and our guide was patient. I am not an expert rider by any means. The guide kept checking to make sure the beginners were ok. He also put the younger children in the front of the line to assist with their ride. Overall it was a great ride. I did notice some of the more experienced riders wanting something a little more challenging and a faster pace. One suggestion might be to have experienced riders go separate from beginners. The price was great for an hour ride.
