  I have seen the Dr. for several years. He was the dr. to diagnose my illness and has helped me live a normal life. Collette and Sandy are friendly and helpful. I have seen only one other psychiatrist and by far Dr. Straumanis is the best. He cares, he listens & makes me feel like we are partners in my care.

  Very good Dr. , ask lots of questions and truely cares about me as a patient. Very happy with him as my Psychiartist

  Dr. Straumanis is not a two star doctor just because more angry than satisfied people review him and, unfortunately, I’ve seen plenty of psychiatrists. I feel he listens and he does the best he can based on the fact that there are billions of individual minds in this world. It’s not an easy field to deal with the idiosyncrasies of the mind and he’s doing the best he can to properly diagnose people. Only you know what you’re feeling and if you can’t properly tell a doctor what you’re feeling, then there’s mistakes. Psychiatry is not as easy as I have pain or discomfort in this location of my body...so let’s order an x-ray and get you some pain meds. It’s dealing with the mind and you can’t expect a doctor to read your mind and figure out precisely the medication you need. It’s best judgment based on what you tell him and then trial and error. It’s the hardest troubleshooting occupation that exists. If you don’t know that going into it, then live with your mental discomfort because a psychiatrist is not a magician.

  Dr. Straumanis has been my psychiatrist for many years now. He is insightful, patient, and friendly. I've had a number of psychiatrists and he is the best, by far. The staff has always been exceedingly helpful and friendly and kind. Although it's very hard to get in with him, he's worth it if you're able.
