(October 9, 2018, 9:02 pm)Beautiful trail & well maintained. There's a lot of up and down, so I would call this an intermediate trail. I have run into a moose on this trail!! Lots of wildlife & an overall rewarding hike.

(May 11, 2018, 12:59 pm)Lion Gulch is a wonderful trail for a early season hike. The forest is greening up from its long winter rest. Many wildflowers, especially the abundant Pasque flowers make for a pleasant visual experience. The trail is in great shape with the new bridges and the trail rerouting that were completed last year, after the trail was damaged by the 2013 flood.
