  I love coming to this lake. I call it my secret place. It’s not very far from civilization but it’s so peaceful and calm. It’s our local treasure that not many people know about. It’s a decent sized clean lake maybe 20 minutes out if that from Woodland Park. I think they require payment for parking to keep it clean but the trail around the lake is easy enough for children to walk and great for fishing since it’s so quiet. My sister and I come up here to read and draw a lot. Maybe this year I’ll see if they will let us hammock here. Love this place ❤️

  Frozen wonderland! Park employees are super nice and helpful. Best $7 value around

  I did not know you had to pay to get in! I wasn't planning on staying that long so I drove a tiny bit further to some red rocks and camping area and hiked around. I hope to go back to the lake when I have a longer time set aside to spend there and am prepared to pay.

  Great for fishing with little ones. Restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Fishing is very accessible and we caught nine fish in about five hours. The setting is gorgeous with Pikes Peak and the forest surrounding.

  Beautiful and clean! The chipmunks come right up to you looking for food. They are adorable! Good fishing. Very well taken care of. We will definitely return next year again on vacation. Highly recommend.
