Scouted: May 2021 -- Looks like a lot of acreage, spacious lots. About a 5-10min drive to Forest Access, down the hill from town. We ended up at the park up the road because they're open year round and the rates are very similar, it's also closer to town than this one. This wouldn't be a bad spot, I just really wish they were open year round.
Really happy we chose coming here. Very friendly staff, super clean shower house, everyone we've met so far are very friendly. The campground has been very quiet and just enjoyable would not hesitate to come back.
Flat camping spots with full hookups in pine forest, fairly close together but not bad. Lots of amenities - - club house, community firepit, clean bath house. Close to Hwy 67, making for daytime road noise, but it's quiet at night. Close to town but not in town. Very friendly proprietors. Recommended.
We stayed 2 nights here around our trip up to Pike's Peak on the Cog Railway. Restrooms and showers were emaculately clean! They obviously take great pride in their campground. Even provided a free pancake breakfast for all campers on our last morning here. We highly recommend!
Really liked staying here. Even in June you don’t need the air conditioning that much because the campground is wooded and stays really cool. They were out maintaining the roadways everyday and it was really clean here. The only problem I had was the voltage was getting low ( around 100v) so my surge protector shut off a few times but that only happened one day when the campground was jam packed with people. Other than that it was great and fairly quiet. Lots of good food in town and plenty of lakes and forest land to explore.
