The museum is totally amazing. Lee was a tour guide extraordinaire! If you have a chance to visit you should!! Who knew there were so many different kinds of washers, all colors shapes and sizes.
Amazing! Such history and passion
A very impressive collection and story of the use of invention and market power to empower women. Lee is a wonderful guide and has great a passion for this amazing tale of innovation. A true gem of a suprize in the middle of Weld County
I have never seen a more impressive collection. Is amazing to see something so basic and ordinary in such a detailed complete way. There is a dedication to context, from his impressive knowledge of patents and machinery, to the physical staging of the museum. To say nothing of the collection of laundry related paraphernalia that would put any cracker barrel to shame. It's an amazing day trip, I've actually gone a few times and it's just as interesting and fun the second and third time as it is the first. He has also written a book, Saving Women's Lives, it's a perfect tribute to how good a story teller Lee Maxwell is, and a legitimately good read. It's a window into the past that manages to give a surprisingly clear and complete view into history, that goes for both the book and the museum. Thank you Lee!
Think of the best word you know... great, fantastic, amazing, awesome. They all describe this place. Extremely well displayed, including all the little details having to do with washing machines. Lee Maxwell made it interesting and fun to visit his museum. He was so knowledgeable. The museum just kept going and going. Just when you think there couldn't be any more, there is another building. We were fortunate to meet his wife, Barbara, also. Very sweet couple. We hope to take our family with us next time. Highly reccomend making the trip and taking the time to see this unique museum.
