I have gone to seaside since I was a kid. I've always loved how nice it looked, plenty open space, the large soccer fields where you could host baseball too. The saltiness of the air. Along with that whipping breeze. Plus you have a good chance seeing some horses towards the back. Only issue.. The water quality. I swear Every time you go in that water it's like Poseidon is tickling the bottom of your feet. Plus you can never see what's touching you so you freak out. seaweed? A crab? Who knows you're too busy running out anyway lol.
The BEST BEACH in the State. Real sand NO rocks and the it's the Largest. Fishing on the other side. History & Statues. Ball fields, Bath houses and a Concession stand. Playground and Water Play ground, Picnic tables and trees to sit under so many things to do. People walk daily. Plus we get low tide and high tide due to Long Island. It's Absolutely Beautiful. ????
Seaside Park is a pleasant and motivational location. I lived on Park Terrace in Bridgeport, CT for over 20 year which put me within walking distance of this park. I have seen beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Clear and cloudy skies. Even the flooding and damage after Super Storm Sandy. This is simply a beautiful and relaxing place for family fun, community picnics, couples outing or solitude. I would certainly recommend locals and visitors alike take a moment and go to Seaside Park.
We visited this park twice. It's beautiful. We enjoyed seeing big birds in a green field and the calm sea shore. Kids also loved playing in the beach. There are some historic statues and interesting structures.
Great for BBQ! Lots of open space many benches, must bring your own grill though!. Only down side is the beach itself isn't so nice.. Lots of sea shells makes walking without water shoes a challenge. And the water it self had lots Of sea weed.
