Eagle Hill has changed our and our 7 year son’s way of learning, thinking and processing. He is on his 3rd year. The amazing teachers are so methodical and thoughtful about the way they teach. They teach a thorough academic curriculum customized to the child’s pace of learning and retaining. The emotional support these kids get is like no other school. We feel very fortunate that our son has the opportunity to be in an environment that is so nurturing and holistic in its approach to teaching.

Eagle Hill has forever changed our son's life in the best possible way. It has given him, not only the gift and joy of literacy, but the ability to experience his own intellectual strengths and talents. Those strengths and talents had never been able to flourish in the public school he was in because of his dyslexia. Eagle Hill has given him the key to reading, the key to how his brain works, and the key to how he learns best. In short, they have given him his mind. I am eternally, happily indebted and grateful to the incredible people at Eagle Hill for what they have done. They are miracle workers, through and through. I can think of nothing more important and vital than giving a child the gift of this education - an education that gives them their life.

My son has attended Eagle Hill for nearly three years & we attribute his tremendous growth to the school. He has developed his study + social skills, self-confidence, and takes pride in all that he has achieved. We've found his teachers to be solicitous and engaged. A few of them have been stellar - and I'd venture to say my son will remember them forever. Teaching in a special needs environment can easily lead to burn-out in a school whose administration does not fully support and prize their faculty. The low turn-over rate at EHS speaks for itself. The school is also comprised of great families, and because the school makes community-building a priority, both my son and I have forged friendships that have made all the difference.

Eagle Hill changed my son’s life. He was there for 9 years—from kindergarten through 8 th grade, and went from having no self confidence, bad ADHD, profound problems with mathematical reasoning and poor executive functioning to a happy, well adjusted, excellent student. Eagle Hill’s emphasis on treating the whole child was critical. The incredible staff took the time to understand how he learned, which varied from subject to subject. Strengths were enhanced and weaknesses in math and organization were patiently and consistently worked on. Friendships were nurtured. He graduated, went on to high school and is now getting great grades in a mainstream college. I would unhesitatingly recommend Eagle Hill to any parent of a child with multifaceted learning differences— one of the most important things they do best is recognize that rarely is LD just one thing— it has layers and different expressions, and Eagle Hill works to address them all as needed.

My son, who has ADHD, spent 3 years (grades 7-9) at EHS and it changed his life. He struggled in regular ed for years and the demands of middle school overwhelmed him. EHS helped him learn strategies to deal with his significant executive functioning deficits and the teachers worked with him where he was academically to “fill in the gaps” and prepare him to go back into the mainstream. He is now a Junior in a regular ed high school where he is achieving beyond our expectations academically (3.0+ GPA), is a student leader, and is in the beginning of his college search process. None of this would have happened without the excellent skill-based program Eagle Hill provided.
