Our family is very grateful to Josh Schoenberg, the funeral director. He took the time to meet me at the hospital to go over the contract and fully explain all the details. Everything was very straight forward with no hidden fees. I felt completely confident and at ease with everything presented. He also went a step further and delivered the cremains to me since I was not able to pick them up. Thank you Josh for making this difficult time a bit easier. In the most difficult time of our lives, Josh was such a bright light for our family. He walked us through the process with compassion and empathy. We expected to pay much more for his services. He provided detailed checklists to help us navigate the necessary paperwork surrounding our beloved dad’s death. We were able to submit the obituary through him and save money. He also promptly notified Social Security of my father’s death which made the process of obtaining survivor benefits for my mom simple and fast. It felt like he was holding our hand every step of the way. Our family couldn’t be more grateful.

I have been delayed a year in writing this review, but better late than never. The staff at Schoenberg's went above and beyond to ensure we were able to honor our mother's life with dignity and grace (in the middle of a snowstorm, no less) and provided a space to hold shiva while our home was unavailable while undergoing renovations. Calls were returned immediately and every detail was attended to with care and compassion. Highly recommended.

This is the third generation of Schoenberg's to serve the Delaware Jewish community with memorial services.
