“Caring, Compassionate, Generous Staff I had just flown in to Newark from Atlanta to visit my sister this summer. As a contact wearer for over 20 years I always follow the most important rule of travel: Always Bring Spare Contacts. For the first time ever, I forgot! And of course one of mine ripped that very day. Total Emergency. I called my sister's eye doctor to see if I could purchase a spare lens, and they said no, not to a non-patient. I ended up driving by Halpern and stopped in on the off chance that I could buy one from them. They not only had a spare lens, in my prescription, they gave it to me for free!! They were so kind and generous to a complete stranger. I wish I lived nearby because I would definitely love to go to a doctor that cares about people like they do.
