“Well-put together exhibits and informed docents. The Historical Society in Seaford apparently runs a tight ship. I've been there a few times and took a walking tour that imagined the steps of Harriet Tubman while she was in Seaford on her way north. It was a blast and fascinating. The mannequins are vaguely creepy, but in a charming way.”

“Mike Hare was the first contractor we met when we moved to Seafood over three years ago. My sister and I have an old house and I don’t know what we would have done without him. Not only is he a great plumber, he gave us names of other contractors! He’s the one you want!”

“Buff Da Barber gave amazing cuts with designs to both my son & nephew. My son had people stopping him everywhere we went to check it out. My son actually knew it was time for another visit when the people stopped noticing it ????”

“I can't seem to find a trail map here or online so I am afraid to walk the trail. There are a couple trucks with guys sitting in them, but besides that it seemed very quiet and a nice park to go to.”

“This is the best place on the east coast to build camping memories in the sand. I have been making this journey every year for the last 50 years! Their amenities have been improved over the years. But every year I spend basking in the sun reflecting on the previous years & how my life was energized for yet another year by digging my toes into ageless grains if sand.”

“Love walking along the inlet. The place has changed so much since I was a small child. I'm happy to see so many families camping. It's fun for everyone. Hope I get to visit here again soon.”

“What a beautiful waterfront setting. The beach is usually less crowded than Ocean City, or Bethany, or Rehoboth, and parking is much more plentiful than the town beaches.”

“We have stayed here for the past 4 years. Our first year everything was perfect, the following 2 our cottage was dirty when we arrived so I complained and they sent the cleaning company back in to clean it the next morning. This year it was clean. That is the only issue I have had at the cottages. If they would contract with a decent company to clean it would be above 5 stars. Beautiful view, screened in porch, very quiet. Cottages are a short walk to the marina, Hammerheads restaurant and bar, the new beach club restaurant and bar, a playground, and the beach (north side... to get to the south side guarded beach you must go over the bridge) 2 bedrooms and a loft. Small kitchen and dining area, full size refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, convection oven, toaster oven, can opener, cook top, pots, pans, dishes are provided. Living area with gas fireplace (cold months only) bathroom with stand up shower, small washer and dryer, 2 charcoal grills and a fire pit type grill with 2 picnic tables in the common area outside. Can fish from on front of your cottage. The loft is great but the stair design is not realistic for many... it's basically a permanent ladder... not good for kids or anyone with balance or walking issues. I wish they would remodel the kitchens because I almost burn my entire arm trying to get food out of the convection oven... it is set so high and I am not short. It's also hard to reach to dishes in the top cupboard... it's just not the best set up. I did notice mold in the air vents which is terrible and should be addressed on a regular basis since it is so humid and they don't really have a way to prevent it... they could get them cleaned regularly. Bring your own bedding, Lysol wipes, hand soap, towels, laundry detergent, and dish soap. We love this place and the price is lower than beach hotels. We will continue to stay here year after year. ”
