There are a few seats for while you wait. The employees were friendly but at a fast pace. Didn't have to wait too long at dinner time (6pm?) About 15 minutes. The people there are still nice and helpful, but the check in and ticket ordering machines suck now, and there are lots of little things, like broken lightbulbs, that have gone unfixed for years now. Still a good place, it just fell a ways from its 5 star days.”

“This park and adjacent preserve include some of the most beautiful places around. There are great trails to walk, run or ride. I run there every Saturday with friends. Trailheads are accessible with good parking. I frequently ride my mountain bike to the preserve, then ride the trails into Newark for lunch. If it snows, just double my comment about the natural beauty. The flat trails along the creek are well worth checking out. This park connects to other parks in the Delaware system, check out the maps. Note that hunting is allowed in parts of the Park and Preserve, so carefully read any signs and respect trail closings due to active hunting. No hunting is allowed on Sunday.”

“Local to me but worth the trip. The pond is short enough to hike around with kids. The canoe rentals are always a great time. This is a place you can let the kids off the leash a little bit. Not many tent campers the last few times I went. Mostly people staying in their RVs.”
