  From our initial meeting to closing (and even after), Jake and Shemaya were fantastic. They put together a comprehensive plan to make our house look as great as possible before sale and to market it, and it worked: we sold for nearly $50k over asking. In the meantime, Jake was there to calm our frayed nerves and to answer every question along the way. Despite us being 600 miles away, Jake answered every question we had within minutes, and made sure all the work on our house was being done perfectly. It was lovely working with them, and you should work with them, too.

  Jake Abbott and Shemaya Klar are the best in the DC real estate business. From initial contact to closing, Abbott Klar Real Estate Group help a seller like me -- who has not sold a property for nearly 40 years -- feel very comfortable with the process. My Brookland condo sold very quick because of the professionalism and expertise of Jake and Shemaya. I highly recommend them.

  Jake and Shemaya are the best! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with them. I was in a position of selling the house of my sister-in-law, who lived alone and passed away after a brief illness. The house needed some minor repair work and sprucing up before going on the market, and Jake and Shemaya handled everything. They recommended a wonderful lady who organized the house for an estate sale and then held the sale. They arranged to clean out the house after the estate sale. They worked with a contractor who walked through the house with Jake and me, pointed out areas that might need repair or a new coat of paint, and gave me a very thorough itemized estimate of all the work that needed to be done. All I had to do was write a couple checks for the contractor and he handled the rest. And the repair prices were quite reasonable. The house was staged beautifully and sold for the list price within a week of being put on the market. Throughout the process, they responded quickly to any questions I had and were very easy to work with. I found them to be honest, dependable, knowledgeable, and low-key. No hard-sell tactics or pressure. I recommend them highly.

  Jake was great. Organized, up-front, and responsive. He shared a plan at the start, and made it work. Everything went beautifully. I cannot recommend him enough.
