District Veterinary Hospital - Navy Yard

District Vet has been our family's vet for nearly a decade. Our first dog was treated at their Brookland location. We trusted them so much that when the time came to say our last goodbye to her, we took her back there for one last time. We always appreciated their high level of care, compassion, and approach to healing. When we heard our favorite vet, Dr. Walker is back full-time at the newly open Navy Yard facility, we immediately transferred our new dog's records. Our first visit was nothing short of wonderful. It was easy to find street parking (we booked an early morning appointment). The neighborhood has plenty of walking options and is clearly dog friendly. The look and feel of the space, with welcoming and warm staff. made us feel at ease and comfortable. And having our four legged companion in the care of Dr.Walker has made our already pleasant experience a perfect one. We give our highest recommendations to District Vet in general, but especially to their newly open Navy Yard location.

The place is where I want my dog to go.

I took my dog to District Vet as new patient today and it was wonderful experience all around.. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming, the vet tech was attentive and Dr walker was outstanding. Dr Walker spent time to get to know my dog and she clearly loves what she does. She even let my 70 pound boy sit on her lap during the consultation! :)
